Traffic Police (TP) and Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC) collaborated with Toyota Singapore, to produce a storybook for young children titled “Road Safety with Kay and Bear Bear”. Launched by Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development on 17 November 2023 at the SRSC Gala Dinner, this road safety themed storybook follows Kay and Bear Bear on a colourful adventure to a surprise birthday party at the park.
Through the vibrant illustrations and affable characters such as TP’s Khai and Rachel and the SRSC’s Zebra Family, the storybook aims to inculcate good road safety habits amongst young children in the hope that they will become responsible road users in future.
Copies of “Road Safety with Kay and Bear Bear” have already been distributed to major preschool chains in Singapore such as the MOE kindergartens, PCF Sparkletots and NTUC My First Skool. Parents and caregivers can also borrow “Road Safety with Kay & Bear Bear” from the public libraries or download a digital copy here. Play a part in inculcating good road safety habits in your children
