There will be a change of command at Bedok Police Division on 6 October 2025.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Paul Tay Koh Hui (郑可晖) will assume command of Bedok Police Division on 6 October 2025. He takes over from Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SAC) Justin Wong Xing Shun (王兴顺), who will assume the post of Deputy Director (Financial Investigation Group) of the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD) on 6 October 2025.
AC Paul Tay, 48, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 2001. In his 24 years with the SPF, he has held several key appointments including Deputy Director concurrent Commander Cybercrime Command of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Deputy Commander of Central Police Division and Deputy Director (Resource Management Division) of Planning and Organisation Department.
SAC Justin Wong, 41, who was appointed Commander of Bedok Police Division on 4 July 2022, joined the SPF in 2007. In his 18 years with the SPF, he has held several key appointments including Assistant Director (Major Crime Division) of the CID, Deputy Director (Homefront Contingencies) of the Joint Operations Group in the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Head Investigation of Tanglin Police Division.
During SAC Wong's tenure, he led the Division in managing several high-profile cases, including the recent incident in September 2025 involving suspicious parcels being delivered to mosques, the November 2024 case where a man attacked police officers with an improvised flame-emitting device, and a series of housebreaking incidents in the vicinity of Pasir Ris Park in September 2023. SAC Wong also led his officers in executing several high-profile security and crowd management operations, such as the General Election, the Presidential Election, Taylor Swift concerts, and the Holy Mass by the Pope at the National Stadium. Under his command, the Division also built on its community engagement through the island-wide expansion of the Domestic Guardians involving migrant domestic workers, and the “A Better Shot” programme to uplift upper primary school students through tuition and crime prevention education.
Reflecting on his tenure as Commander of Bedok Police Division, SAC Wong said, “I thank our community for supporting the Police as we worked together to keep our neighbourhoods crime free. It has been the distinct honour of my career to lead this Division of dedicated officers, Police National Servicemen, and volunteers in our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. I am confident that Bedok Division will continue to excel as we keep the east of Singapore safe and secure.”
