Man Charged For Murder

The Police will be charging a 59-year-old man for murder.

On 20 July 2026 at about 4.45pm, the Police received calls for assistance at Block 55 Lengkok Bahru. Upon arrival, officers found a 59-year-old man lying motionless at the 16th floor lift lobby. The man was conveyed to the hospital, where he subsequently passed away.

Another 59-year-old man was arrested at scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties are known to each other.

The man will be charged in court on 22 July 2026 with murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of murder carries the death penalty. Police investigations are ongoing.
