Man Arrested For Criminal Trespass And Voyeurism

The Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for criminal trespass and voyeurism.

On 8 February 2021 at about 2.40pm, the Police received a call for assistance, where a man had trespassed into a female toilet along Ayer Rajah Crescent and taken a video of a woman who was inside one of the cubicles.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV and police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 19 February 2021.

Police investigations are ongoing. The offence of criminal trespass under section 447 of the Penal Code carries an imprisonment term of up to three months, a fine of up to $1500, or both. The offence of voyeurism under section 377BB of the Penal Code, carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
