The Police have arrested a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man for their suspected involvement in theft of a van.

On 20 February 2021 at about 12.15am, the Police received a report from a victim informing that his van which was parked along Lorong 6 Geylang was stolen.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identities of the duo and arrested them on the same day.

The duo will be charged in court on 22 February 2021 with theft of a motor vehicle with common intention under Section 379A read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years, and a fine.
