On 11 March 2025 at about 11.35am, the Police received a call for assistance from a residential unit along Boon Lay Avenue. Upon Police’s arrival, officers found the 56-year-old man lying motionless inside the unit. He was subsequently pronounced dead at scene. 

The 58-year-old man was arrested at scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties are known to each other.

The man will be charged in court on 13 March 2025 with murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of murder carries the death penalty. Police investigations are ongoing.
