At GovTech’s Digital Services Awards 2023 ceremony on 24 November 2023, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) received two awards, Best Improvement and Best Accessibility (Medium Agency). The Digital Services Awards recognise outstanding achievements and excellence in delivering digital services to the public.
Featuring the theme “Empathy at the Heart of Tech,” this year’s awards focused on the importance of co-creating digital services with users. Officiating at the awards ceremony was Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Communications and Information and Minister-in-Charge of GovTech, Dr Janil Puthucheary.
The Best Improvement Award is awarded to the public agency with the highest overall improvement in three areas: Search Engine Optimisation, Accessibility and Page Load Time. The Best Accessibility Award is awarded to agencies with the highest accessibility scores derived from mobile and desktop Informational Services.
“The achievement of the awards is a testament to the resolve and tenacity of the staff and organisation in making our digital services easily accessible by citizens,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Lee Chwee Huat, Director of the SPF’s Service Delivery Department.
This year’s awards ceremony saw 350 attendees, with another 500 joining via livestream. As part of the awards selection process, public agency digital services underwent rigorous assessment and technical scoring based on widely recognised evaluation criteria, powered by GovTech’s WOGAA (Whole-of-Government Application Analytics) platform.
