On 7 October 2024, a graduation parade was held for 595 trainees from the 196th Intake of Full-Time Police National Servicemen and Regular Police Officers. This parade marks the end of their training at the Training Command, and they will soon embark on the next phase of their Policing journey.
Mr Patrick Tay Teck Guan, Member of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Home Affairs and Law, graced the parade as the Reviewing Officer. Awards were presented to officers for their outstanding achievement, including the prestigious Statuette Award.
In his address, Mr Patrick Tay highlighted that the Singapore Police Force (SPF) is well recognised as a world-class police organisation, having achieved a high level of public trust. He reminded the graduands that as Police officers, they are now integral to the safety and security of the community. He said that whether deployed on the frontline or in supporting roles, they play a crucial part in safeguarding Singapore. The graduands must uphold the highest standards of conduct and recognise that their actions reflect the trust the communities placed in them.
Congratulations to the graduands!
