Man Arrested For Outrage Of Modesty Within 24 Hours

The Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

On 9 September 2021 at about 12.20am, the Police received a report from a victim who reported having been molested by an unknown man along Bedok North Road. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.

The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 10 September 2021, under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up two years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.
