The Singapore Police Force (SPF) marked Police Day 2026 with a parade held on 3 June 2026 at the Home Team Academy, bringing together more than 290 participants from various Police divisions, specialist units and the National Police Cadet Corps.
Observed annually on 3 June since 1971, Police Day commemorates the SPF’s achievements while honouring generations of officers who have dedicated themselves to keeping Singapore safe and secure. It’s also a day for officers to renew their pledge to serve the nation with Courage, Loyalty, Integrity and Fairness.
Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, officiated the Parade and presented awards recognising outstanding units and officers across the Force.
Addressing officers and guests, Minister Tong said, “The nature of crime is constantly evolving. It is more complex, more sophisticated, and often less visible than before. Despite these challenges, the Singapore Police Force continues to serve with unwavering dedication, working to stay ahead of emerging threats and to protect our way of life. On Police Day, we honour their commitment, recognise their sacrifices, and express our gratitude to them and their families for all they do to keep Singapore safe.”
Recognising Excellence Across the Force
One of the highlights of the Parade was the presentation of awards recognising excellence in operations, leadership and service.
Bedok Police Division emerged as the recipient of the Best Land Division Award – a recognition of its operational excellence and commitment to community safety.
“The Best Land Division award is a testament to the good work of the men and women of Bedok Police Division, who have been unwavering in their dedication and sacrifice in the fight against crime,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Paul Tay, Commander of Bedok Police Division. “This achievement would not have been possible without the strong support of our community partners and stakeholders who work together with us to co-create safer communities.”
Receiving the Best National Service (NS) Operationally Ready Unit Award this year is Jurong Police Division. Superintendent of Police (Supt) Wilson Tan, NS Commander of Jurong Police Division said, “This win belongs not just to Jurong, but to the entire Police NS ecosystem that pushes us all to be better.”
Renewing the Commitment to Serve
Beyond the awards, Police Day remains a significant occasion for officers to reflect on the SPF’s mission and the responsibility that comes with the uniform.
As Singapore’s security landscape continues to evolve, the SPF remains committed to adapting to emerging challenges while upholding public trust. Congratulations to all award recipients and well done to every officer who gave their best for Police Day Parade 2026!
