Two Men Investigated For Causing Public Alarm

The Police are investigating a 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old man for causing public alarm.

On 4 June 2022 at around 10.12am, the Police were informed that an unidentified man was seen holding an object resembling a shotgun in a video uploaded online. Through ground enquiries and follow-up investigations, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Woodlands Police Division established the identities of the 19-year-old man in the video and the 21-year-old man who posted the video. Preliminary investigations revealed that the object was a toy gun. Police investigations are ongoing.

Those who cause public alarm are liable for an offence punishable under Section 4(2) of the Protection from Harassment Act 2014.
