The Police have arrested four men and a woman, aged between 52 and 65, for their suspected involvement in a case of affray.
On 9 August 2020, the Police were alerted to a fight which occurred at a coffee shop along Hougang Avenue 8. Through ground enquires and follow-up investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identities of the suspects and arrested them on 11 August 2020. Preliminary investigations revealed that two groups of patrons had a prior dispute while at the coffee shop. Police investigations are ongoing.
The offence of affray under Section 267B of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term of up to one year, a fine of up to $5000, or both.
