Hacking
Hacking is the exploiting of weaknesses in a computer system or network to gain unauthorised access to computer systems, networks or accounts for personal gain or malicious purposes. Usually, this involves stealing sensitive information, disrupting services or causing financial harms. This can be done through various ways such as social engineering, hacking of passwords and using malware to infiltrate users’ devices.
Website Defacement
Website defacement is a form of cybercrime where malicious actors gain unauthorised access to a website’s server or Content Management System (CMS) to alter and vandalise the contents and appearance of a website. Usually, these malicious actors would display their own messages or other content with the intent of sending a message or disrupting the normal operations of the website.
