Man Arrested For Mischief By Fire

The Police have arrested a 46-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of mischief by fire.

On 6 February 2022 at 9.07pm, the Police received a call for assistance for a case of fire at Block 72 Geylang Bahru. Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras, the man was arrested on 7 February 2022 at about 1.40am.

The man will be charged in court on 7 February 2022 with mischief by fire under Section 435 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term which may extend to seven years and a fine.
