On 3 May 2026 at about 9.10am, the Police received a call for assistance at Singapore Life Church, located at 144 Prinsep Street. Upon arrival, officers established that a man had slapped several persons at the church and had left prior to the Police's arrival. A 66-year-old woman was bleeding as she was slapped near her eye area and was subsequently conveyed conscious to the hospital. Church services were not affected.

Through follow-up investigations, the Police established the identity of a 33-year-old Malaysian Chinese man believed to be involved in the case, and he was subsequently arrested for public nuisance.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is known to the church and has caused nuisance at the church a few times.
