Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Tay Wee Li (郑微丽) assumed command of Central Police Division on 15 June 2026. She took over from Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Wong Keng Hoe (黄敬豪), who assumed the post of 2 Deputy Director, Operations Department on the same day.

AC Wong, 35, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 2009. In his 17 years with the SPF, he has held several key appointments, including Deputy Commander of Jurong Police Division, Assistant Director (Policy Development) of the Policy Development Division in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and Commanding Officer of Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre.

AC Tay, 47, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 2002. She has served 24 years with the SPF and has held several key appointments including Senior Director at Finance and Admin Division in the MHA, Deputy Commander of Police Coast Guard and Deputy Commander (Protective Security), Integrated Checkpoints Command (Land) at the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

Under AC Wong's command, Central Police Division achieved significant milestones, including clinching the 'Best Land Division' award in 2025. AC Wong's leadership was instrumental in the investigation and resolution of several notable cases, including the dismantling of scam syndicates and the recent swift arrest of three Chinese nationals for a robbery case that took place in a Marina Bay Sands hotel room. As Commander, AC Wong led the Division through numerous major security operations, including the National Day Parade, Marina Bay Singapore Countdown celebrations, Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, Thaipusam and the General Elections in 2025. His steadfast commitment to operational readiness and training excellence was evident through the regular conduct of operational exercises, ensuring that officers remained well-prepared and mission-ready at all times. AC Wong also oversaw key infrastructure and operational developments during his tenure, including the opening of the new Family Justice Courts Police Unit and operational enhancements to security and custodial processes at the Courts and Central Police Division.

AC Wong thanked community partners, volunteers and his officers for their commitment, trust and close collaboration. Reflecting on his tenure as Commander of Central Police Division, AC Wong said, “It has been my tremendous privilege to serve alongside the men and women of Central Police Division. I have seen firsthand their unwavering commitment to the mission, their care for the community, and their resilience in the pursuit of justice. They work tirelessly to keep the Central region of Singapore safe and secure. I am also immensely grateful for the invaluable support of our community partners and volunteers, who we know we can count on in both calm and in crisis. I am confident that Central Police Division will continue to thrive and excel under AC Tay’s leadership.”
