Male Teenager Under Investigation For Rash Act

The Police are investigating a 17-year-old male teenager for his involvement in a case of rash act at Cove LRT Station.

On 29 September 2026, the Police received a report about an incident that occurred at the concourse level of Cove LRT Station at about 11pm on 27 September 2026, in which a bag was thrown off the LRT platform by a teenager. Preliminary investigations revealed the bag contained two blocks of ice cream.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTVs, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the teenager. He is currently assisting with Police investigations.

The offence of rash act under Section 336(a) of the Penal Code 1871 carries an imprisonment term of up to six months and a fine.

The Police take a serious view of acts that endanger life or personal safety. We will spare no effort to apprehend such offenders and deal with them in accordance with the law.
