GetActive! Singapore aims to foster a strong Singapore spirit and promote an active lifestyle through sport. In this eighth edition, taking place from 29 July to 9 August 2023 around the Sports Hub and Kallang Wave Mall, everyone can look forward to a range of exciting activities like mass workouts, sports try-outs, workshops and competitions.

Our Singapore Police Force (SPF) officers certainly did!

Bonding to the Singapore Workout

The energetic dance instructors guided our officers through the dance workout to this year’s NDP theme song “Shine Your Light.” There were lots of laughter and energy in the arena as the officers tried their best to keep up!

When Knowledge is Health

At the Kallang Wave Mall, officers were able to pit themselves against fellow officers of their age group, where they learnt the benefits of measuring their fitness and health status in the Active Health Experiential Zone.

Para Sports Tryouts

Various para sports, such as para-archery, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair badminton, blind football and boccia were also set up for the officers to experience.

“Given the many deployments that our officers are involved in during the year, this event allows us to build camaraderie, unwind and destress together, and above all, have fun in the company of our fellow officers!” said Commander of Public Transport Security Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police Masagoes Idris Hussain.

The officers thoroughly enjoyed the event organised by SportSG – officers from various units, whether frontline officers or office-hour staff were able to get together, have fun and get active!
