First Steps

Meet the 26 Senior Officer Trainees from Squad C5-2024 as they begin their journey to become full-fledged Police officers.

Use of Force Training

As training progresses, the Senior Officer Trainees learn Police Contact Tactics, undergo Taser and Firearms training, and complete the Commitment Run. From learning to make split-second decisions to proving unbreakable commitment, witness the making of our next generation of Police officers.

When Theory Meets Reality

The training becomes more challenging as the squad faces the unforgiving reality of field exercises after months of preparation. From First Responder Training to enduring a 6km hike through Bukit Timah’s merciless terrain and an agonising log race, they’re tested on every aspect of their commitment and competency as future Police leaders.

The Weight of Command

Leadership is tested at times of crisis. From challenging jungle ambushes to midnight water expeditions, the squad learns that effective leadership isn’t about executing plans perfectly but stepping up when everything falls apart. On Lazarus Island, demanding conditions push the trainees to their limits, where fatigue and stress reveal their true character. The classroom gave them knowledge; experience will give them wisdom.

Nepal Beckons

The final chapter of C5-2024’s journey unfolds in the Himalayas, where thin air and treacherous terrain test every ounce of determination. In this legendary land of the Gurkhas, the Senior Officer Trainees confront their deepest reserves, stripped of familiar comforts. This experience will complete their evolution into the next generation of Police officers, ready to serve and safeguard Singapore every day.
