The Police have arrested 18 women and one man, aged between 20 and 41, for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
Between 13 and 14 August 2025, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department conducted raids in the vicinity of Kramat Road and MacPherson Road, resulting in the arrests of these 19 persons.
During the two-day operation, cash amounting to more than $2,000, three mobile phones and other vice-related paraphernalia were seized. The 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly facilitating the operation of an online vice syndicate under the Women’s Charter 1961. Investigations against the 18 women are ongoing.
The Police will continue to take tough enforcement action against those involved in syndicated vice activities. Under the Women’s Charter 1961,
- Any person who knowingly lives wholly or in part on the earnings of the prostitution of another person shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years and shall also be liable to a fine not exceeding S$100,000.
- Any person who keeps, manages or assists in the management of a place of assignation shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years and shall also be liable to a fine not exceeding S$100,000.
