The Police have arrested 10 women, aged between 31 and 42, for their suspected involvement in vice-related activities.
On 28 August 2025, officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted a raid at a massage parlour along MacPherson Road. The 10 women were arrested for offences under the Women's Charter 1961. One of the women, aged 39, believed to be the operator of the massage parlour, will be charged in court on 30 August 2025 with the offence of keeping, managing, or assisting in the management of a brothel under Section 148 of the Women’s Charter 1961. Investigations are ongoing.
The Police will continue to take strong enforcement action against those involved in syndicated vice activities. Under the Women's Charter 1961,
- Any person who knowingly lives wholly or in part on the earnings of the prostitution of another person shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years and shall also be liable to a fine not exceeding $100,000.
- Any person who keeps, manages or assists in the management of a place of assignation shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $100,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both.
