Man Arrested For Series Of Theft Of Undergarments

The Police have arrested a 43-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of theft of undergarments.

On 17 December 2020, the Police were alerted to a case of theft of undergarments outside a residential unit along Commonwealth Drive. Through ground enquiries and the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 18 December 2020. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in other similar cases in the Commonwealth estate.

The man will be charged in Court on 19 December 2020. The offence of theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, carries a jail term which may extend to three years, a fine, or both.
