Man Arrested For Outrage Of Modesty

The Police have arrested a 52-year-old man for outrage of modesty.

On 24 November 2020, the Police received a report from a victim informing that she was purportedly molested by a man on board a bus along New Upper Changi Road.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 22 January 2021.

Investigations are ongoing. The offence of outrage of modesty, punishable under Section 354(2) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 carries an imprisonment term of up to five years, or fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishment.
