Teenager Arrested For Voyeurism

The Police have arrested a 16-year-old teenager for his suspected involvement in a case of voyeurism.

On 9 January 2021 at about 4.30pm, the Police received a report that a man had allegedly captured voyeuristic images of another male by purportedly placing a mobile phone at the top of the cubicle partition in a toilet at Pasir Ris Central Street 3.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the teenager and arrested him on 1 February 2021. Preliminary investigations revealed that the teenager is purportedly involved in other similar cases of voyeurism.

Investigations are ongoing. The offence of voyeurism under Section 377BB of the Penal Code carries an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, or fine, or caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
