Joint Enforcement Operation Against Speeding And Illegal Modification Offences

The Traffic Police (TP) conducted a joint operation with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) against speeding and illegal modification offences between 22 and 27 March 2021.

During the operation, 71 summonses were issued by TP against motorists for various traffic offences including speeding. In addition, LTA found 54 offences related to illegal modifications such as modified exhaust systems and the use of non-compliant tinted films.

TP takes a serious view of motorists who choose to flout traffic rules and cause danger to other road users. Besides enforcement, TP will continue with education and engagement efforts to remind motorists to adopt good RoadSense while using the roads.

Road safety is a shared responsibility. TP would also like to urge all motorists to play their part in keeping Singapore roads safer for everyone.
