Woman Arrested For Causing Death By Rash Act

The Police have arrested a 50-year-old woman for her suspected involvement in a case of causing death by rash act.

On 11 December 2023 at about 11.50pm, the Police were alerted to a case at a void deck along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 where a 62-year-old man was stabbed. The man was conveyed unconscious to the hospital where he subsequently succumbed to his injury on 12 December 2023. The 50-year-old woman, who is the wife of the man, was arrested at scene in relation to the incident.

The woman will be charged in court on 13 December 2023 for causing death by rash act under Section 304A of the Penal Code 1871. If convicted, the offence is punishable with an imprisonment term of up to 5 years, or with fine, or with both.
