The Singapore Police Force (SPF) hosted President Tharman Shanmugaratnam as Guest of Honour at the Annual Police Dinner (APD) on Friday, 14 June 2024 at the Istana. The theme was “One Community, One Force - Together as One", with the event appreciating the individuals and community partners who have contributed considerably or worked closely with the SPF, towards SPF’s vision to make Singapore the safest country in the world.

At the event, Commissioner of Police Hoong Wee Teck presented President Tharman with a special memento, a batik painting titled “Our Home”, in appreciation of his support for the SPF. The memento, a collaborative effort between the SPF and Metta School, showcases Police officers and the community working in harmony, in line with APD 2024’s theme.

Around 500 community partners, guests, and SPF officers attended the event. As the event drew to a close, the guests were treated to a performance by the SPF Combined Band that paid tribute to Police officers’ spirit of service.
