The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.
On 28 August 2020 at about 12.15 am, the Police received a report that a female victim had been molested by an unknown man along Tampines Avenue 5. Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTV cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 14 September 2020.
The man will be charged in court with outrage of modesty on 16 September 2020. The offence of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code carries an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.
