The Police have arrested four men, aged between 31 and 32, for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting armed with deadly weapon.
On 7 September 2025 at about 4.15am, the Police were alerted to a case of a fight along Rochor Canal Road, where the four men had purportedly attacked two male victims following a dispute and some allegedly used weapons. The two victims, aged 16 and 26, sustained stabs wounds to their arm and back respectively, and were conveyed conscious to the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were known to the assailants.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs and Police cameras, officers from Central Police Division and Criminal Investigation Department established the identities of the persons involved and arrested them on 8 September 2025.
The four men will be charged on 10 September 2025 with the offence of rioting armed with deadly weapon under Section 148 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and caning.
The Police will spare no effort to apprehend those who commit violence and will take firm action against them in accordance with the law.
