Two Men To Be Charged For Affray

The Police have arrested two men, aged 25 and 31, for their suspected involvement in a case of affray.

On 3 May 2026 at about 3.20am, the two men were allegedly involved in a fight with another man in the vicinity of Boat Quay area. After the altercation, the two men left the scene. Subsequently, the matter was reported to the Police on the same day at about 2pm.

Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs and Police cameras, officers from the Central Police Division established the identities of the two men and arrested them on 7 and 8 May 2026 respectively.

The two men will be charged in court on 9 May 2026 with an offence of Affray under Section 267B of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to one year, or with fine which may extend to $5,000, or with both. 

The Police have zero tolerance towards acts of violence with blatant disregard of the law. Offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
