The heart of the nation beat with pride, unity and purpose at the Padang and Marina Bay on 9 August 2025. This year’s National Day Parade (NDP) was more than a celebration of Singapore’s 60th year of independence – it was a reminder of what it takes to keep our home safe and secure. For the Singapore Police Force (SPF), our officers gave their best, whether marching in the Parade or safeguarding the celebrations.
Precision and Pride on Parade
The SPF Guard-of-Honour (GOH) Contingent took centre stage during the Parade segment, marching in synchronisation. Months of training paid off as each movement displayed discipline and pride.
Our talented band officers put up a remarkable performance to mark the 60th birthday of Singapore and also commemorate the historic 100th anniversary milestone of the SPF Band this year.
Boots on the Ground
Nearly 2,000 Police officers from various divisions and units worked tirelessly to keep NDP 2025 safe and secure. From conducting security checks and managing crowds to traffic control, our mission was clear – to ensure a smooth and safe celebration for all.
Making Their Mark in the Mobile Column
For the spectators, one of the most exciting highlights was the Mobile Column. For the first time in NDP history, the Mobile Column presented an integrated display, combining an Aerial Flypast over the Padang, a dynamic Drive-past along St Andrew's Road and a Maritime Display at Marina Bay.
Three SPF veterans representing five decades of service to Singapore participated in this year’s Mobile Column during the NDP veteran segment.
Celebrating the Spirit of Singapore
As fireworks illuminated the night sky across the Padang and Marina Bay, the moment captured the very essence of Singapore – unity in diversity, strength through harmony and safety as our shared responsibility. It also reaffirmed our officers’ commitment to keeping our nation safe and secure for generations to come. Happy 60th birthday, Singapore!
