Police have arrested a 30-year-old man who is suspected to be involved in a case of Outrage of Modesty.
On 25 December 2014 at about 7.11 pm, a 30-year-old female victim lodged a police report informing that she was molested inside a supermarket at the Jurong West Housing Estate. Upon receiving the information, officers from Jurong Police Division conducted meticulous investigations to ascertain the identity and whereabouts of the suspect. Their efforts paid off and the subject was arrested on 7 January 2015.
The suspect will be charged in Court on 9 January 2015 for the offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he may be jailed up to 2 years; or fine and will also be liable to caning.
