SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

Large crowds are expected at the Float @ Marina Bay, Esplanade Waterfront Promenade, Merlion Park, Promontory, Marina Bay Sands Waterfront, Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage. The public is advised to be vigilant and to safeguard their belongings.

Admission

Admission into the Padang and Float @ Marina Bay will only be allowed for ticket holders. The gates will be opened from 3.30pm. Ticket holders are advised to arrive early to allow ample time for security checks and to find their seats before the start of the Parade. Ticket holders are encouraged to take public transport, and allocate more time for their journey into the Marina Bay area as congestion is expected.

Security Checks at the Padang

Security checks on persons and belongings will be conducted as a condition of entry into the Padang to ensure safety and security at the event. The public is advised to minimise the amount of personal belongings brought into the venue to facilitate quick security clearance.

Any container (100ml capacity or larger) containing liquid, aerosol or gel will be subjected to additional checks. Canned drinks and canned items will not be allowed into the venue. Each ticket holder will receive a NDP Fun Pack containing amongst other items, 2 bottles of water, 2 packet drinks, and light snacks. Actions may be taken against anyone who attempts to bring in prohibited items listed in Annex B.

Post-event Dispersal

After the Parade has ended, dispersal is likely to be slow due to the large crowd expected in the Marina Bay area. The public is advised to be patient and to follow the directions of the SAF marshals as well as the Police.

As City Hall MRT, Promenade MRT and Bayfront MRT Stations are expected to be very crowded during dispersal, commuters should head towards alternative stations such as Raffles Place MRT, Esplanade MRT, Bugis MRT or Clarke Quay MRT Stations. Adequate signs will be in place to direct commuters to these MRT Stations.

Members of public may contact the organiser at the hotline: 1800-637 2015 for further enquiries on the event and road closures.
