The Police will be charging a 22-year-old man for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 21-year-old woman.

On 26 May 2026 at about 8.55pm, the Police received a call for assistance at Block 248 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2. Upon arrival, officers found a woman lying motionless at the 12th floor lift lobby. The woman was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic. 

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had stabbed the woman. Both parties are known to each other. The man was arrested for murder at the scene and conveyed to the hospital. 

The man will be charged in court on 28 May 2026 with murder under Section 302(1) Penal Code 1871. The offence of murder carries the death penalty. Police investigations are ongoing.
