A 53-year-old male driver was arrested for his suspected involvement in causing an oil spillage that occurred in the early morning of Thursday, 15 January 2015 along Paterson Road.
Traffic Police commenced investigations immediately to trace the driver who was believed to be driving a truck that had caused the oil spillage. Through extensive interviews and enquiries, the driver was swiftly identified at Woodlands Checkpoint at about 1500 hrs on the same day. The driver was placed under arrest for Causing Hurt by Negligent Act under Section 337(b) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he is liable to an imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months, or with fine not exceeding $2,500, or both.
