Police Community Roadshow 2025 At Heartbeat@Bedok, Featuring The Award Ceremony For The ‘Safersg School Challenge’

The second Police Community Roadshow (PCR) 2025 was held on 6 December 2025 at Heartbeat@Bedok. At the event, Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State (MOS) for Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development, announced the ‘SaferSG School Challenge’, which will be rolled out to all secondary schools in 2026. He also presented awards to the winners of "The GRYPHON Initiative" (TGI) competition and the "Youth Against Scams" (YAS) video competition.

TGI was implemented by the Bedok Police Division in 2016. “GRYPHON” stands for Growing the Youth, Police, Honorary Volunteer Special Constabulary (Hon VSC) and National Police Cadet Corp (NPCC) network. Through a structured point-based system, the TGI aims to bring together educational institutions, Hon VSCs, and NPCC units to collectively strengthen youth crime prevention awareness by enhancing existing youth engagement programmes. In 2025, 30 schools within the Bedok Police Division participated in the TGI, with two schools attaining the platinum award and seven schools attaining the gold award. From 2026, the TGI will be expanded to all Police Land Divisions under the ‘SaferSG School Challenge’, enabling educational institutions, Hon VSCs, and NPCC units islandwide to benefit from the initiative.

Inaugurated in 2023, the YAS is an annual video competition organised by the Clementi Police Division to engage youth participants aged 35 and below, to create and share anti-scam videos on their social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. The competition harnesses their content creation skills to produce impactful videos that resonate with their peers, while tapping on their social media networks to amplify the Police's anti-scam messages. This year’s competition received 390 registrations and nearly 200 anti-scam video submissions each carrying the hashtags #YouthAgainstScams2025 and #SingaporePoliceForce. Collectively, the videos generated over 426,000 views across social media platforms, with the most popular video garnering 194,500 views.

The PCR provides visitors an opportunity to view demonstrations by the various Police units, including performances by the SPF band and capability demonstrations by the Police K-9 unit and the Special Operations Command. In addition, visitors can view an array of Police weaponry alongside the operational vehicles that were on display. Children can also participate in a range of engaging activities, including Police-themed bouncy castles, a dedicated colouring station, and interactive storytelling sessions featuring Police Pal.

The second PCR 2025 will conclude on 7 December 2025 at Heartbeat@Bedok. For more information on PCR 2025, members of the public can visit www.police.gov.sg/roadshow or scan the QR code in the poster (refer to Annex A).
