Man Charged For Murder

The Police will be charging a 25-year-old man in court for his suspected involvement in the murder of a 29-year-old man.

On 29 August 2026 at about 10.10pm, the Police received a call for assistance along Tuas South Street 15 towards Tuas South Avenue 14. Upon arrival, officers found the 29-year-old man lying motionless on the road and was subsequently pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic.

The 25-year-old man was later arrested by the Police within four hours. Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties are known to each other.

The man will be charged in court on 31 August 2026 with murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code 1871. The offence of murder carries the death penalty. Police investigations are ongoing.
