Teenager To Be Charged For Rash Act

The Police will be charging a 18-year-old teenager in court on 6 May 2021 for his suspected involvement in a case of rash act.

On 17 January 2021 at about 11.10pm, the Police received a call for assistance along Bukit Batok Street 52. Through follow-up investigations, officers from Jurong Police Division established that the teenager had allegedly thrown a punching ball with the base attached, down from his residential unit at the location.

The teenager will be charged with rash act, punishable under Section 336(a) of the Penal Code. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to six months, or a fine of up to $2,500, or both.

The Police have zero tolerance against acts that endanger the lives or safety of others and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
