Two men, aged 39 and 53, will be charged in court on 26 November 2025 for their alleged involvement in creating false quotations in relation to a development project under the National Parks Board (“NParks”).
At the material time, the 39-year-old man and 53-year-old man were respectively:
- A quantity surveyor of the contractor engaged by NParks for the project, who allegedly created five false quotations in the names of five other contractors between April 2020 and July 2021.
- A director of a subcontractor engaged for electrical works, who allegedly instigated his staff to create 22 false quotations in the names of two other contractors between January 2020 and May 2021.
Both men will be charged with the offence of forgery under Section 465 of the Penal Code (Chapter 224, 2008 Revised Edition). The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to four years, a fine for each charge, or both.
The Police take a serious stance against fraudulent activities and offenders will be dealt with severely in accordance with the law.
