If you hold a Singapore driving licence or a provisional driving licence, you will need to be certified fit to continue to drive when you are reaching 65 years of age.
1.1 How to Be Certified Fit to Drive?
If you hold a valid driving licence, you will receive instructions in the mail 10 weeks before your 65th birthday to undergo a medical examination by a Singapore-registered medical practitioner so that you can be certified fit to continue to drive.
This mail will enclose a Medical Examination Report for you to take with you to your doctor’s appointment. You can also download this report after you have successfully logged in to this e-service and printed it out.
- Take the Medical Examination Report with you to the clinic within the two-month period before your 65th birthday.
- Ensure that the completed medical examination report you receive from the medical practitioner:
- Indicates “fit/unfit”.
- Has the boxes in Part B (Medical History) and Part C (General Medical Examination) checked.
- Is signed and fully endorsed by the medical practitioner who conducted the medical examination, is dated and is stamped with the clinic stamp.
- Scan1 the completed medical examination report in JPG or PDF format (max. size 2.7MB).
- Log in to the e-service and submit the scanned document at least four weeks before your 65th birthday.
