The Police will be charging a 37-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of vandalism.
On 30 December 2025 at about 4.10pm, the Police were alerted to a case of vandalism along Stadium Place, where a man was believed to have deliberately damaged a Crime Alert Signage (CAS) belonging to Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from CCTV, officers from Bedok Police Division arrested the man on 2 January 2026. Preliminary investigations revealed that he is believed to be involved in another case of vandalising a public banner.
The man will be charged in court on 3 January 2026 with the offence of vandalism under Section 3 of the Vandalism Act 1966. The offence carries a fine not exceeding $2,000, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, and shall also be liable to caning of not less than three strokes and not more than eight strokes.
The Police have zero tolerance towards acts of vandalism and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law
