The Traffic Police (TP) conducted an island-wide enforcement operation against errant motorists on 31 December 2025.
During the enforcement operation, a total of 89 vehicles were stopped for checks. Four motorists, aged between 32 and 53, were arrested for various offences including driving under the influence of alcohol under Section 67(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961 and driving without a valid driving licence under Section 35(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1961. 103 summonses were issued for various traffic offences, such as using a mobile communication device while driving, speeding and using an unapproved helmet.
Please refer to Annex A for the penalties of these offences and Annex B for photographs from the enforcement operation.
All road users have a part to play in keeping our roads safe. All motorists must comply with Singapore’s traffic laws. TP takes a serious view of errant road users who blatantly flout traffic laws and endanger the safety of other road users and will continue to enforce against such errant motorists.
