The Police have arrested a 25-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of voyeurism.

On 29 August 2023 at about 10.10 pm, the Police received a report that a man had allegedly took an upskirt photograph of a female victim along Bedok North Central.

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 11 September 2023 in the vicinity of Bedok North Road.

The man will be charged in court on 13 September 2023. The offence of voyeurism under Section 377BB(5) of the Penal Code 1871 carries an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, a fine, caning, or with any combination of the punishments.

The Police will deal sternly with sexual offenders who threaten the personal safety of others in the community, in accordance with the law.
