Merger Of Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police Centre And Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood Police Centre

Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police Centre (NPC) and Bukit Panjang NPC will merge to form Bukit Batok NPC on 23 November 2025 as part of the transformation of Police’s frontline operations to better address evolving security challenges and community needs. This transformation includes plans to progressively increase the number of Police cameras (PolCams) to more than 200,000 cameras island-wide, including in and around the Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang estates.

The merger will achieve the following:

  1. Improved operational effectiveness. The Community Policing Unit in the merged NPC can organise larger scale community policing events. The merged Crime Strike Force will be better resourced to handle crime cases.
  2. No change in police presence and incident response in Bukit Batok and Bukit Panjang estates. We will deploy the same number of Ground Response Force officers for patrolling and responding to incidents within the merged NPC’s coverage, as are being deployed today in total in both estates.

Following the merger, Bukit Panjang NPC’s service counter will close for renovation. The NPC will re-open as a redesigned Neighbourhood Police Post (NPP) in 2026. Bukit Batok NPC is already under renovation and will likewise re-open in 2026 with a refurbished self-help report-lodging area.

During the period when both NPCs are under renovation, for non-emergency cases, residents may lodge a report:

  1. Online at http://www.Police.gov.sg/e-services
  2. At Bukit Panjang South NPP’s self-help kiosk; or
  3. At Choa Chu Kang NPC if residents require in-person counter services.
