Man To Be Charged For Rash Act

The Police will be charging a 46-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of rash act.

On 8 May 2022 at about 1.55am, the Police were alerted to a case where items were being thrown down from a residential block along Jurong West Street 92. Through follow-up investigations, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on the same day.

The accused will be charged in court on 31 August 2022. The offence of rash act under Section 336(a) of the Penal Code 1871 carries an imprisonment term of up to six months, or a fine of up to $2,500, or both.

The Police have zero tolerance against acts that endanger the lives or safety of others and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law.
